SIR JOHN A… TOWN  HALL – what are your plans?

SIR JOHN A... TOWN HALL - what are your plans?

This online Town Hall  provides an opportunity for continued in-depth group discussion addressing the question “What will you do to mark Macdonald’s bicentennial?”

The Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission is seeking to inspire a greater appreciation of the life and achievements of Sir John A. Macdonald of Kingston, Canada’s Father of Confederation, by promoting events in the arts, education, tourism and other sectors locally, regionally and nationally in the countdown to the 2015 Bicentennial of Macdonald’s birth, and to create an ongoing celebration befitting Canada’s greatest statesman.

Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission

The non-profit, non-partisan Commission was established in 2010 in order to inspire a greater appreciation of the life and contributions of Sir John A. Macdonald of Kingston, Canada’s Father of Confederation. We are promoting events in the arts, education, tourism, and other sectors locally, regionally and nationally in the countdown to the Bicentennial of Macdonald’s birth and beyond.

With the 2015 bicentennial of the birth of Canada’s founder fast approaching, the Commission is already planning Macdonald’s 200th birthday celebrations–a party of epic proportions held on a national scale. Together, Canadians can build toward a year-long, cross Canada celebration of the life, times and achievements of Sir John A. Macdonald. The Commission needs your support and enthusiasm. Please visit sirjohna2015.ca for more details.
