New Topic: Refresh Colwood Transportation
The City of Colwood is creating a Transportation Master Plan to improve how community members and visitors travel in and through our city – whether they are driving, walking, biking or using transit. The plan will address more than the way people move around Colwood. It will bring about refreshing changes in Colwood, improving quality of life and sustainability – goals outlined in our Official Community Plan.
Colwood’s transportation networks will become a platform for:
- building vibrant neighbourhoods,
- creating enjoyable streets and trails, and
- supporting economic development.
Participate in the process to help develop a ‘made in Colwood’ strategy that considers your needs as a community member and meets the overall transportation requirements of our City.
During this first stage in the planning process, the City of Colwood hopes to increase community awareness about the plan to Refresh Colwood Transportation and collect preliminary feedback on issues and opportunities as they relate to all methods of transportation. (The City defines “transportation” as any way that people move around the community, including walking, cycling, transit use and driving.)
The city is asking residents to take part in the process to help develop a ‘made in Colwood’ strategy that considers your needs as a community member and meets the overall transportation requirements of our City. You can learn more, connect to the topic , and give your comments on the Refresh Colwood Transportation topic page.
Take the Survey
Connect to the plan on Placespeak and take the on-line survey. This is one way we hope to gather your opinion on the existing transportation system and relevant challenges and opportunities you see. It will also give the Colwood Transportation Refresh team information about how you use the transportation networks and how you might use them in the future. Please note that the information you give to sign in to PlaceSpeak is private and used only to show what area of Colwood you live in so that your feedback can be grouped by neighbourhood.
