Introducing Emma Fennell
Share

PlaceSpeak would like to introduce our newest team member, Emma Fennell. Emma joins our staff as a Research & Planning Assistant.
While she grew up in a small mountain town in Alberta, Emma’s love for both socially and environmentally sustainable cities culminated in her studies in Human Geography. Her BA from the University of British Columbia was supplemented by a semester with CityStudio Vancouver, getting Greenest City 2020 urban interventions on the ground. She also has a digital arts and communications background, earned during her studies through several Co-op terms at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. While her apartment walls are lined with hand-drawn maps, her strengths lie more in the realm of digital cartography and GIS.
Emma joined PlaceSpeak because of our innovative location-based approach in connecting people to the decisions happening in their area. Outreach and assistance are her priorities, and Emma will be happy to help with any questions on how you can start engaging your community with PlaceSpeak. She can also help you find the best street food in Vancouver, and the most secret places to eat it.
