Admins can now restrict commenting and will be able to moderate comments on the fly
With our commitment to continuous improvement PlaceSpeak has added functionality to the PlaceIt Map for place based commenting.
On the public side, PlaceIt currently allows for text comments and sharing of images by public participants. Participants can also delete their own comments and choose to comment anonymously on the public side of PlaceSpeak. .
On the Administrator side PlaceIt allows for adding of boundary polygons and markers with images. Admins can now disable commenting on PlaceIt Map, permitting the browsing of legacy comments but restricting further participation.
PlaceSpeak allows Administrators to pre-moderate comments; approving or declining their placement on the PlaceIt Map. Now Administrators can moderate comments “on the fly”, allowing for the removal of inappropriate comments, replacing the comment with a placeholder with a rationale for the decision to remove. This now expands Moderation capabilities to all commenting tools in the PlaceSpeak engagement tool kit.
